Arduino opened preorders on 23 September 2026 for the VENTUNO Q, a dual-brain single-board computer aimed at AI robotics developers and its first product launched since being brought under Qualcomm in October 2025.
Dragonwing IQ-8275 plus STM32H5 on one board
Announced at the RoboBusiness conference in Santa Clara, the board pairs a Qualcomm Dragonwing IQ-8275 processor with a Hexagon NPU that delivers up to 40 dense TOPS with an STM32H5 real-time microcontroller for deterministic actuation. The design is packaged in an UNO-form-factor shell with 16 GB LPDDR5, 64 GB eMMC and an M.2 NVMe slot, plus Ubuntu preloaded and distributed by Canonical.
"This is the first intentional step for a product that is meant to be used as a single point of control of a modern robotics platform," Arduino Chief Product Officer at Qualcomm Marcello Majonchi told The Robot Report.
Positioning against Jetson and Raspberry Pi
The launch sets up a direct challenge to NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano and Raspberry Pi 5 boards that today dominate hobbyist and low-cost industrial robotics stacks. Where Jetson defaults to a GPU-only inference path and Raspberry Pi lacks a real-time co-processor, VENTUNO Q offers on-board split between perception and control — the exact division of labor that ROS 2 and MoveIt-based robots typically implement across two devices.
A Qualcomm robotics stack takes shape
The board caps a busy week for Qualcomm's robotics push. On the same day, the chipmaker completed its acquisition of PickNik Robotics, keeping the open-source MoveIt manipulation framework and integrating it into the Dragonwing platform. Arduino says pre-orders are open at the Arduino Store and through distributors DigiKey, Farnell, Mouser and RS.
