Antwerp-based Conveo has raised a $50 million Series A led by DST Global Partners to scale its AI-moderated consumer research platform, the company announced on September 2, 2026. Balderton Capital, Visionaries, 6 Degrees Capital and Y Combinator also joined the round, taking Conveo's disclosed funding total to $55.8 million as it pushes deeper into US enterprises.
StoryLines turns market research into an always-on system
Conveo's core product, StoryLines, replaces one-off consumer studies with a continuous research programme: brands set a recurring topic and cadence, Conveo recruits participants and runs adaptive video interviews in 15 languages, then codes the responses and stores each new study alongside earlier ones so employees can search across the entire record. Human researchers still validate the output and sign off on findings, in line with the 2025 ICC/ESOMAR research code.
DST Global backs a European AI-native contender
The Series A gives Conveo runway to expand in the United States and to accelerate product work on StoryLines. DST Global Partners' involvement puts a growth-stage investor known for late-stage internet bets behind a European AI-native contender in a consumer-insights market ESOMAR estimated at more than $150 billion in 2024. The round also joins a busy week of AI raises that included Wonderful's $550M Series C in Amsterdam and Lyte's $165M Series C.
Human oversight still in the loop
Conveo says more than 400 enterprises use its platform, including Fortune 500 customers, and that one unnamed large technology company was running about 2,000 interviews a month across seven markets as of September 2. Those figures are company claims. A separate 44-interview comparison published by Mission Field in February 2026 found AI moderators produced more concise answers but missed nonverbal cues and over-weighted outliers, underlining why researchers still keep the sign-off in Conveo's method.
YC-to-Series-A trajectory
Founded by chief executive Dieter De Mesmaeker, Conveo is a Y Combinator alumnus that raised a $5.3M seed in March 2025 before this Series A. The trajectory tracks the broader boom in YC-backed European AI startups hitting large growth rounds within 18 months of graduating the accelerator.
