Higharc Raises $95M Series C to Put AI Inside Homebuilding

Higharc, the AI-native platform covering the homebuilding lifecycle from design to construction, has raised a $95 million Series C led by Insight Partners, the Durham, North Carolina company announced June 30. The round, joined by Wellington Management and existing backers including Fifth Wall, Spark Capital, Lux Capital, and Schneider Electric's SE Ventures, lifts Higharc's total funding past $170 million.

From CAD Replacement to Industry Operating System

Higharc pitches itself as the operating system for residential construction, replacing the patchwork of CAD files, spreadsheets, and PDF plan sets that still governs how most American homes get designed, permitted, sold, and built. "AI isn't just assisting builders. It's reshaping how builders work, cutting time and cost per job while giving buyers a more personalized experience," said CEO and co-founder Marc Minor.

AutoTranslate AI Reads Any Floorplan

At the center of the expansion is AutoTranslate AI, which converts any floorplan image into a rich 3D spatial data model. By combining proprietary vision models with deterministic construction logic, the system generates precise quantity estimates and maps them directly to purchasable materials, turning one of homebuilding's most error-prone manual workflows into an automated one.

That capability underpins a new AI Estimating product for building materials distributors, launched alongside a partnership with US LBM, the largest private lumber and building materials distributor in the United States. US LBM dealers will be able to generate accurate material takeoffs from builder plan sets at enterprise scale.

Construction Tech's AI Moment

"We evaluate AI companies across every sector, and Higharc stands out as a clear leader in applying AI to residential construction," said Josh Fredberg, managing director at Insight Partners. The round adds to a wave of capital flowing into construction automation, from All3's $25 million raise for legged construction robots to vertical AI plays like Assort Health's $120 million Series C, and echoes the broader surge that saw Together AI collect $800 million the same week.
