Tel Aviv-based cybersecurity startup Huskeys said on September 2, 2026 that it had closed a $27 million Series A led by Blackstone Innovations Investments, pushing total funding to $35 million and its valuation past $100 million. First reported by the Wall Street Journal, the round backs what Huskeys calls Network Edge Security Management (NESM), a control plane that connects the tangle of CDNs, WAFs, cloud security tools and load balancers most enterprises already run.
A Unified Data Model For A Fragmented Edge
Huskeys was founded in 2025 by CEO Itai Gafni and CTO Roy Weisfeld, both alumni of Unit 8200. Instead of replacing incumbent security stacks, its patented Unified Data Model sits on top and orchestrates policy across providers. The platform offers continuous posture assessment, dynamic policy generation, virtual patching for zero-days and, crucially, a way to distinguish legitimate agentic AI traffic from malicious automated abuse.
The company already analyses more than a trillion web requests a day for customers including TikTok, LEGOLAND, Ro, Blackstone and Hugging Face, which places it directly on top of the kind of infrastructure that rogue AI agents recently overwhelmed.
Investor Roster Reads Like An Edge-Security Yearbook
Merlin Ventures, Skinos Ventures, Zscaler Ventures, Okta Ventures, Bright Pixel Capital and SV Angel joined the round, together with individual investors WAF and CAPTCHA inventor Eran Reshef and executives from Palo Alto Networks, Cloudflare, Check Point, AWS, Google, Microsoft and Intel. Blackstone's Chief Information Security Officer Adam Fletcher said the firm sees NESM as a new category for “increasingly distributed environments” where AI agents are producing entirely new classes of legitimate traffic.
Why The Round Matters
Enterprises pushed multi-CDN and multi-cloud architectures for resilience, then watched policy sprawl explode across vendors. Huskeys is betting that the fix is not another security product but a management layer that lets existing kit finally act as one. That thesis is arriving as runtime guardrail budgets balloon and as agentic AI reshapes both attack and defence traffic mixes.
