Paris-based digital cardiology company Implicity has notched its third U.S. clearance. On July 28, 2026 the U.S. Food and Drug Administration granted 510(k) clearance to Implicity's next-generation ILR ECG Analyzer, a cloud-based AI that sits over implantable cardiac monitor (ICM) alerts to filter out noise before it reaches clinicians.

Why This Clearance Matters

Implantable loop recorders generate huge volumes of alerts, and the majority are false positives. Every extra alarm is a minute of nurse or electrophysiologist time diverted from real arrhythmias. Implicity's algorithm serves as an agnostic second layer for residual alerts that remain after each manufacturer's own filters, working across implants from Abbott, Biotronik, Boston Scientific and Medtronic.

Research published in EP Europace and Heart Rhythm showed the algorithm reduced false-positive episodes by up to 76% while maintaining high sensitivity for clinically meaningful events. That is the sort of signal-to-noise improvement healthcare AI regulators have been asking of imaging and cardiology software under the FDA's Predetermined Change Control Plan framework, finalized in 2025.
