Innok Robotics, the German manufacturer of rugged outdoor autonomous mobile robots, has raised €3.3 million ($3.8 million) from Prolimity Capital Partners and the Berlin business angel network Companisto, in what the company says is its final funding round before a planned IPO this fall.
Robots that don't stop at the hall door
Founded in 2012 in Regenstauf, Bavaria, by CEO Alwin Heerklotz, Innok builds IP65-rated wheeled robots that bridge the gap conventional AGVs cannot cross: the transition between indoor halls and outdoor factory yards. Its INDUROS transport robot family tows loads from 350 kg up to 1,300 kg, runs up to 16 hours per charge, and uses the company's AI-based Hybrid Navigation to handle rain, snow, gravel and door thresholds — the messy "brownfield" reality of most industrial sites.
Order intake doubled in 2025
Innok told the Association for Advancing Automation that order intake doubled in 2025 compared with the previous year, driven by an unusually diverse customer base that includes plastics processors, tire manufacturers, plant logistics and even cemetery operators. The new funds will help the company complete its order backlog and expand into new categories such as surveillance robotics.
A small raise with a big signal
At €3.3 million, the round is modest by 2026 robotics standards, but the planned stock market listing would make Innok one of the few European AMR pure-plays to go public — a path currently dominated by far larger deals such as Agility Robotics' $2.5 billion SPAC merger and Factorial's Nasdaq debut. European robotics funding has been accelerating all year, and profitable niche players like Innok are increasingly finding public-market ambitions within reach.
