Lyte Raises $165M Series C At $1.6B Valuation To Give Robots Trustworthy Vision

Lyte AI has closed a $165 million Series C led by Maverick Silicon at a $1.6 billion post-money valuation, giving the Sunnyvale-based physical AI startup fresh capital to scale a full-stack robot perception platform. The round takes the ex-Apple engineers' company to $272 million raised since it was founded in 2021.

Silicon-up sensing for physical AI

Lyte designs custom processors, multimodal sensors and spatial software so that robots can measure position and motion natively rather than reconstruct them in code. Its LyteVision platform fuses 4D coherent vision, high-resolution imaging and inertial sensing on a single synchronized timeline, and was named CES 2026 Best of Innovation in Robotics. Since emerging from stealth in January with $107 million, Lyte has entered production and is shipping to robotics customers in inspection, logistics and manufacturing.

Who's in the round

Fidelity Management & Research Co., which led Lyte's Series B, returned for the C alongside Atreides Management, Key1 Capital and Ora Global (formerly Exor Ventures), plus additional new and existing investors. Maverick Silicon managing partner Andrew Homan joined Lyte's board, calling the company one of the defining technology firms of the robotics era.

Where the money goes

Lyte says the capital will scale production of its sensing silicon and LyteVision, advance its AI and perception capabilities, and expand deployments with robotics and industrial customers. It plans to hire aggressively across silicon, software, optics, manufacturing, operations and go-to-market, including senior leadership roles.
