Shenzhen-based Multiway Robotics has switched on an intelligent warehouse automation system for a Malaysian manufacturer, combining a fleet of autonomous forklifts with its own Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Robot Control System (RCS) across more than 5,000 storage locations.

End-to-end automation for a complex supply chain

The deployment stitches together raw-material receiving, finished-goods storage, material preparation and quarantine zones. Multiway says the new configuration lifts storage density by more than 30 percent while orchestrating fleet movements, optimising routes and coordinating automatic charging.

Three forklift models on the floor

The MW-K16 autonomous very narrow aisle (VNA) forklift operates in aisles as tight as 1,750 mm and can stack pallets up to nine metres for high-density storage. The X20 autonomous pallet truck moves materials between receiving, production and shipping, and the MW-SL14 autonomous stacker handles empty pallet stacking, destacking and transfer. All three run 24/7 with obstacle detection, anti-collision protection and automatic charging.

Southeast Asia's automation push

Multiway says it has now delivered automation to more than 1,000 enterprise customers across more than 20 industries. The project also plugs into the customer's ERP and warehouse management systems, mirroring the integration playbook seen at other logistics operators covered by Yusen Logistics and Amazon.
