Brahma AI raises $150M at $2B to sell DNEG-born generative-media stack

Enterprise generative-media startup Brahma AI has closed a $150 million funding round at a $2 billion valuation, the company said on 23 September 2026. The lead investor is Multiples Alternate Asset Management, which committed $100 million.

Born inside DNEG and Prime Focus

Brahma was assembled from the tech stacks of Oscar-winning visual-effects studio DNEG and its parent Prime Focus Limited, and is run by chief executive Prabhu Narasimhan. Its platform combines a content-intelligence layer, Core, with generative visual and voice tools branded ATMAN and VAANI for synthetic humans, face replacement, dubbing and multilingual media production. Metaphysic, the generative AI firm known for deepfake-style face synthesis, joined Brahma in a February 2025 merger.

Anchor customers and awards

The company counts Warner Bros. Discovery, the NBA and Mayo Clinic among its enterprise customers, and its face-replacement technology won a 2026 Technology & Engineering Emmy. Reported pro-forma revenue was $45 million in 2024. Brahma will use the round to scale Silicon Valley operations and grow partnerships with Google and Hakuhodo.
