D-Wave Quantum To Ring Nasdaq Bell July 27, Marks Exchange Transfer

D-Wave Quantum Inc. will ring the Nasdaq Opening Bell on Monday, July 27, 2026, formally marking the annealing-quantum computing pioneer's voluntary transfer of its common stock listing from the New York Stock Exchange to the Nasdaq Global Market. CEO Alan Baratz and the D-Wave management team will lead the ceremony at Nasdaq MarketSite in Times Square, highlighting the company's commercial traction and next phase of growth in what has become a suddenly hot public quantum-computing sector.

From NYSE To Nasdaq

The company said in a July 24 announcement that the switch is designed to align D-Wave with a leading technology exchange as it courts growth-focused investors, and follows a July 2026 IDC MarketScape report that named D-Wave a global "Leader" in quantum computing for its logistics, manufacturing and telecom footprint. D-Wave's ticker QBTS will keep trading uninterrupted, and the move puts D-Wave alongside quantum peers IonQ, Rigetti and Quantinuum in the eyes of tech-focused index funds.

Dual-Track Quantum Strategy

D-Wave describes itself as the world's first commercial supplier of quantum computers and today serves more than 100 organizations across commercial, government and research sectors. Its production Advantage2 annealing system runs more than 4,400 physical qubits woven together in the Zephyr topology, delivering 20-way inter-qubit connectivity for optimization and sampling workloads. In parallel, D-Wave is pursuing a gate-model program aimed at fault-tolerant quantum computing, giving the Burnaby-based company one of the broadest hardware roadmaps in the sector.

A Busy Week For Public Quantum

D-Wave's Nasdaq debut lands in the middle of a fresh wave of quantum public-market activity. Earlier in July, Infleqtion won three DOE Genesis Mission awards, ESA installed Equal1's Bell-1 silicon-spin machine at ESRIN, and Quantinuum braided non-Abelian anyons into a universal topological gate set. Investors will be watching whether D-Wave's exchange move helps close the gap between its record commercial bookings and revenue that has trailed peer valuations.
