Enveda Biosciences, the Boulder AI drug-discovery startup founded by Viswa Colluru, raised a $311 million Series E on 23 September 2026 led by Catalio Capital Management. The round pushes the six-year-old company's total funding above $845 million and reportedly values Enveda around $2 billion.
PRISM foundation model, natural-product chemistry
Enveda's core platform is PRISM, a foundation model trained on the chemistry of living organisms. It ingests metabolomics datasets and molecular libraries to search millions of natural compounds for drug-like scaffolds, then designs candidates around them. The company says it has advanced 17 development candidates since 2019.
Where the money goes
Series E capital funds Phase 2 trials for lead asset ENV-294, a once-daily oral candidate for atopic dermatitis and asthma, along with Phase 1 studies of ENV-308 for metabolic health and ENV-6946 for inflammatory bowel disease. The round drew Durable Capital Partners, ICONIQ, Lightspeed, Surveyor Capital (a Citadel company), T. Rowe Price, Digitalis Ventures, Baillie Gifford, Premji Invest, FPV Ventures, Kinnevik, Dimension, Lifeforce Capital and Lux Capital.
Context
Enveda joins a string of AI-biology raises this month, including Basecamp Research's $140M Series C, Emulate's $700M seed and Anthropic's Bay Area wet-lab push with Claude.
