Experian Launches Agent Operating System for Banks, With ServiceNow as First Partner

Experian has unveiled a new Agent Operating System, a trusted agentic-AI layer inside its Ascend Platform, with enterprise workflow giant ServiceNow signing on as the first partner. The launch came at Money20/20 Europe in Amsterdam on 2 June 2026 and is aimed at moving financial-services firms past pilots and into production with autonomous AI agents.

What Agent Operating System actually does

The Agent Operating System combines Experian's data, analytics, decisioning and identity assets with built-in governance, model risk management, explainability and audit trails. Experian, client-built and partner agents work together through a common trust, semantic and orchestration layer, allowing institutions to automate end-to-end workflows — fraud detection, credit decisioning, portfolio monitoring — rather than running disconnected prompts.

The ServiceNow integration

Through a multi-year partnership, ServiceNow AI agents will connect directly into Experian's Ascend Platform, giving customers real-time access to credit and identity data inside ServiceNow workflows. "Without access to trusted, real-time data inside enterprise workflows, agents simply can't operate at the speed or scale the industry demands," said Cedric Parent, ServiceNow's GVP of global industries. The pairing fits a broader wave of enterprise agent stacks consolidating across data, identity and orchestration.

Why Experian thinks the moment has arrived

Experian's Vijay Mehta, general manager of AI for Experian Software Solutions, framed the launch as the end of experimentation. New Experian research shows 48% of financial firms still struggle to integrate data into AI workflows, while one-third cite poor data lineage or siloed data. Meanwhile, 55% of consumers say they would let an AI agent make an autonomous purchase on their behalf, rising to 70% among 25-39-year-olds.

Capabilities under the hood

Key building blocks include identity and access controls; compliance guardrails; composability for client- and partner-built agents; agent-native decisioning for fraud, identity, credit risk, marketing and operations; embedded governance with audit trails; and human-in-the-loop oversight for high-stakes decisions. The platform will be available to early-adopter customers later this year before rolling into more than 2,300 client solutions globally.

A new layer for sovereign-grade financial AI

The launch sits alongside other 2026 plays to build governed AI layers for regulated industries, including sovereign-AI consolidation in Europe. For Experian, an FTSE 100 group spanning 33 countries, Agent OS is the first time it has packaged its core data, decisioning and identity assets as an agent-ready operating layer rather than discrete APIs.
