Chinese physical-AI maker GENISOM AI has closed a Series B round "in the tens of millions of dollars" led by Abu Dhabi-based Stone Venture, with Hongshan Capital co-leading, the company disclosed this week. It is the biggest Middle East cheque yet into China's fast-scaling embodied-AI stack.
From ICRA demos to a factory line
Founded in December 2023, GENISOM AI has been the surprise breakout of China's quadruped race, showing off a full-stack embodied-intelligence system at ICRA 2026 with a 10,000-unit robot fleet. The company said cumulative production of its M1 and L1 quadrupeds passed 15,000 units by June 2026, and monthly capacity is now more than 10 times last year's average.
Who wrote the cheque
Stone Venture is a UAE state-linked investor that has been actively building an AI-and-robotics book alongside Microsoft's $10B Gulf AI push. Hongshan Capital (Sequoia China's former arm) co-led. Additional financial investors include Yueke Finance, Wuzhong Rongyue and Wuzhong Financial Holding; strategic investors Neusoft Group, Highpower Technology, Yuanjian Capital, Riying Electronics and industrial partners joined.

What the money buys
Proceeds will fund robot bodies, the company's embodied-brain and task stacks, and its GSD autonomous-navigation technology. GENISOM is also expanding its "Gravity" developer programme, offering 1,000 machines and roughly $15 million in resources to research and integration partners.
China's physical-AI cycle keeps accelerating
The round lands as China's embodied-AI ecosystem racks up back-to-back highlights - RLWRLD's factory-first push, Unitree's $6,500 22-DoF hand and 1X's 50,000-unit NEO target. Stone Venture and Hongshan are betting GENISOM turns quadruped shipments into a durable industrial supply chain rather than another demo cycle.
