Grid Dynamics, Doosan Robotics Bundle Physical AI Stack For Fortune 1000

Nasdaq-listed Grid Dynamics has struck a strategic partnership with Doosan Robotics to plug its GAIN Physical AI platform into Doosan's cobots, promising turnkey manipulation, packaging and inspection stacks for Fortune 1000 factories.

Grid Dynamics, Doosan Robotics Bundle Physical AI Stack For Fortune 1000

Grid Dynamics Holdings (Nasdaq: GDYN) has signed a strategic partnership with Doosan Robotics to bundle its GAIN Platform for Physical AI onto Doosan's collaborative robots, the two companies said on July 16, 2026. The tie-up gives Fortune 1000 manufacturers and logistics operators a fully integrated hardware-plus-AI stack for dual-arm assembly, packaging of deformable items and inspection of complex-geometry parts.

What the joint stack does

Grid Dynamics' GAIN platform provides perception, robot policy control, digital twins and full integration services for physical AI. On top of Doosan's H, M, A and P cobots — deployed in 45 countries — GAIN promises rapid workflow authoring, deployment of the latest robot foundation models, and continuous line optimisation. The joint stack is aimed at use cases that traditional robotics software cannot handle: assembly with variability, mixed-SKU packaging and inspection of curved or unseen objects.

Why the timing matters

"Our mission is to provide industrial users with production-grade solutions for high-value use cases such as dual-arm assembly and packaging," said Ilya Katsov, CTO Americas at Grid Dynamics. Doosan Robotics Europe head Michael Ryu called the partnership a "powerful alignment" that will let cobot users tap the latest AI models without stitching integrators together. Recent Doosan moves include the PalletizHD+ AI palletizing platform and an expanded NVIDIA physical-AI pact.

Filling the gap between cobot vendor and end user

The deal reflects a broader consolidation: cobot makers are increasingly bundling AI stacks, digital twins and integration through a single partner rather than leaving system-integration to end customers. Doosan follows HD Hyundai's heavy-payload HDC cobot launch and mirrors the strategy Fanuc and ABB have hinted at for late 2026. Grid Dynamics, founded in 2006, positions itself as an AI transformation partner for Fortune 1000 firms and now gains a hardware-anchored physical AI channel.
