IFA Berlin, the world's largest event for consumer electronics, home appliances and future technology, is turning its IFA Next innovation zone into the biggest humanoid-robot showcase in the fair's history when the show opens at the Berlin Exhibition Centre from September 4 to 8, 2026.
Robots on the Runway on September 5
The flagship live demonstration, dubbed 'Robots on the Runway,' takes place at the Creator Stage at 1:00 p.m. on September 5. Participating exhibitors include Primebot Robots, EngineAI, Cozio Robotics, Dobot Robot, DEEP Robotics, AgiBot, Unitree, Mind with Heart, Ollobot, Astrall Dynamics and AIMOGA. The catwalk-style demonstration is designed to show how humanoid technology, movement and entertainment converge in a spectacular live setting, complemented across all five days by a RoboCup football tournament staged by Team Berlin United from Humboldt University.
Around 300 exhibitors, 25 countries
IFA Next has significantly expanded its floor space this year on the back of international demand and now expects about 300 exhibitors, up sharply from prior editions. Twenty-five country pavilions are already confirmed, including Italy, Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, the Philippines and China. Announced humanoid exhibitors alongside the runway lineup include MagicLab, Zeroth, UniX AI, Galbot, Pudu Robotics, Hengbot, and wearable exoskeleton makers Kenqing and Head Robotic.
Momentum from IFA Media Days
The runway builds on IFA Media Days momentum, which already saw Xiaomi debut its CyberOne humanoid and in-house XRing O3 chip and LG Electronics unveil its ThinQ CLAW agent and CLOiD home robot. Federal Minister Dorothee Bär is the patron of IFA Next 2026, underscoring the German government's growing interest in embodied AI as a mainstream consumer category.
Programming beyond the catwalk
IFA's Dream Stage in Hall 25 will host keynotes, panel discussions and start-up pitch battles across the five-day run. Scheduled sessions include 'Robots in the Kitchen and Home: From Task-Specific Tools to Humanoids' with Jennifer Pattison Tuohy of The Verge and Posha CEO Raghav Gupta, plus talks on AI in the kitchen, smart glasses and the car as the 'third habitat.' The final of the IFA Next Pitch Battles, organised with Germany's Start-up Association, takes place at the Creator Stage on the afternoon of September 6.
