LG Electronics turned its IFA 2026 booth in Berlin into a showcase for what it calls AI Living, unveiling on September 3 a new action-oriented AI agent called ThinQ CLAW alongside the CLOiD home robot and a rebuilt home energy management stack. The 3,745-square-meter exhibition space, themed "Innovation Tailored to You," carries roughly 150 core products and dedicates 46 percent of the floor to B2B meetings with European construction and real-estate developers.
ThinQ CLAW and the AI Home stack
ThinQ CLAW anchors LG's AI Home platform together with the ThinQ ON hub. The agent understands spoken requests, learns household routines and adjusts appliances, lighting and HVAC before being asked. LG is fully integrating Homey — the platform from Amsterdam-based Athom, acquired in 2024 — to build a home energy management system that spans about 50,000 third-party devices, HVAC and solar power. The company said the shift is the clearest signal yet that it wants to be recognized as a smart-home platform company, not just an appliance maker.
CLOiD conducts the LG AI Orchestra
At the entrance to the hall, the new CLOiD home robot greets visitors and acts as the conductor of the LG AI Orchestra, staging appliances, TVs and HVAC on a 16-meter kinetic LED stage in what LG framed as a preview of a "Zero Labor Home" where AI and robots handle chores end-to-end.

European hardware and the Xiaomi contrast
LG's Fit & Max lineup, which pairs built-in design with high-efficiency AI, has been expanded from refrigerators to washing machines and dishwashers, targeting European kitchen specs. German rival Miele countered with the AI-camera G8 Diamond dishwasher and a "the end of housework is in sight" slogan, while Xiaomi's own IFA debut across the hall pushed a Human x Car x Home ecosystem with the CyberOne humanoid and XRing O3 chip. LG's push builds on the industry's broader move to standardize AI on home hardware, and lands the same week that edge-AI agents like Perplexity's Mac compute stack are also targeting the consumer.
