Intrusion Inc. (NASDAQ: INTZ), the Plano, Texas-based cybersecurity company behind the TraceCop threat-intelligence database, has completed its acquisition of AI-native managed security service provider VigilAigent from Tego Cyber, the company announced June 30 and confirmed in a July 21 progress update. The all-cash transaction adds roughly $3.5 million in annual recurring revenue and pushes Intrusion into the agentic-AI cybersecurity market.
What Intrusion is buying
VigilAigent brings a multi-year customer base of about 1,000 accounts, more than 80 reseller partners and its proprietary Oracle agentic-AI engine — a system Intrusion says already ingests and learns from roughly 1 billion security events per day. Under the deal, VigilAigent's Chief Executive Aigent Bobby Mikkelsen and Chief Revenue Officer Mark Porter join Intrusion's senior management team, providing continuity for the acquired customer base and reseller channel. "Intrusion is a natural home for what we have built at VigilAigent," Porter said in the announcement.
Building an AI-native cyber platform on TraceCop
Intrusion is integrating Oracle with TraceCop, its historical intelligence database covering more than 8.5 billion IPv4 and IPv6 addresses, domain names and hostnames. The combined platform is being positioned as a full AI-native cybersecurity stack that pairs agentic detection and response with Intrusion's zero-day-focused Shield product. "AI is reshaping the cybersecurity space as its increased adoption has significantly reduced the cost, technical expertise and time required to develop and execute highly sophisticated and scalable attacks," CEO Tony Scott said, framing the deal as a response to AI-driven threat evolution.
Fast integration and cost synergies
Three weeks after closing, Intrusion said it had already identified more than $3 million in annualized cost synergies from the transaction and secured over $350,000 of new annualized revenue tied to cross-sell opportunities across the two customer bases. The company is planning a public technology showcase to demonstrate the combined TraceCop-plus-Oracle stack and lay out its long-term product roadmap, positioning the M&A move as central to its stated push toward sustainable profitability in fiscal 2026.
