Neura Robotics Bags Record $1.4B Series C Led By Tether For Physical AI

Metzingen-based NEURA Robotics has closed a Series C financing of up to $1.4 billion, the largest single round ever raised by a full-stack robotics company, with stablecoin issuer Tether leading and a who's-who of AI, compute and industrial partners piling in behind founder David Reger's Physical AI platform.

The round brought in Qualcomm Technologies, Amazon, NVIDIA, imec.xpand, Robert Bosch, Schaeffler, the European Investment Bank, Lingotto Horizon and InterAlpen Partners. Reports peg Neura's post-money valuation between roughly $9B and $12B, putting the six-year-old startup among the best-funded humanoid makers in the world alongside the likes of Figure AI. Its existing orderbook and deployment pipeline already exceed $1 billion.

Proceeds will drive global deployment of Neura's cognitive robots and the NEURA Gyms — real-world training halls where fleets of cognitive robots collect the multimodal data that trains Neura's models. Reger wants to produce millions of humanoid units by 2030, with Tether embedding its Wallet Development Kit and QVAC edge-AI runtime so machines can be paid for work and settle autonomously.

A European Physical AI Champion

'The future of AI will not only live on screens,' Reger said. 'It will move, interact, learn and work beside us in the real world.' Nakul Duggal of Qualcomm called robotics 'one of the most demanding edge AI use cases,' while Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino framed the deal as an infrastructure bet on autonomous machines that can 'execute tasks, account for outcomes, and operate independently.' The raise lands as capital continues to chase humanoids — see AI2 Robotics' $735M and Hadrian's $1.37B.
