Alphabet-owned Wing and Walmart have flipped on drone delivery in Greater Orlando, opening Wing's first market in Florida and adding another metro to what the pair now calls the nation's largest drone-delivery network.
Where The Drones Fly
Service launched from two Walmart Supercenters — #955 at 1700 S. Orange Blossom Trail, Apopka and #2695 at 1450 Johns Lake Road, Clermont — with drops available to more than 50,000 homes, businesses and apartment buildings in as fast as 30 minutes. Customers see the option in the Walmart app when eligible, or can order via the Wing app.
What The Drones Can Do
Wing's aircraft cruise at 150–200 feet and up to 60 mph, hovering at roughly 20 feet to lower packages by tether. Payload starts at 2.5 pounds per flight with plans to double to 5 pounds — enough for a run of sunscreen, school supplies, electronics or last-minute grocery items.
Central Florida Is Only The Beginning
Wing and Walmart said three more stores are coming online in the following weeks — Ocoee (#942), a second Clermont Supercenter (#5299) and Haines City (#725) — as the partnership pushes toward nearly 20 U.S. metros this year. It follows the recent Wing–Walmart launches in Houston, Atlanta and Dallas-Fort Worth, and slots alongside DoorDash Air's FAA Part 135 debut and Manna's Tulsa launch in the U.S. drone-delivery buildout.
