ASUS used the second day of Computex 2026 to unveil a connected AI healthcare ecosystem stitched together by its new ASUS AI Agent for Healthcare platform. Two new devices anchor the launch: the ASUS Handheld Ultrasound DuoScan and the ASUS VivoWatch 6 Plus wearable.
DuoScan: pocket-sized 192-element ultrasound
DuoScan packs a 192-element high-definition array into a portable, point-of-care form factor designed for clinicians working at the bedside, in ambulances or in primary-care clinics. ASUS says onboard AI assists with image acquisition, automatically tuning gain and depth to compensate for less-experienced operators, and that the device pairs with hospital PACS systems through standard DICOM exports.
VivoWatch 6 Plus extends continuous monitoring
The VivoWatch 6 Plus is a clinically oriented wearable that adds blood-pressure trending and single-lead ECG capture to ASUS's existing biometric stack, with longer battery life and improved durability over the 2024 generation. Data feeds directly into the AI Agent platform, which stitches together vitals, ultrasound studies and patient history to surface actionable summaries for the care team.
The AI Agent layer
The new ASUS AI Agent for Healthcare runs on the company's edge and server infrastructure, ingesting structured and unstructured clinical data and serving real-time analytics back to clinicians. ASUS pitched it as the connective tissue that turns its growing portfolio of devices – wearables, scanners, in-room cameras – into a continuous loop of capture, interpretation and clinical decision support.
Where ASUS fits in healthcare
The launch follows AIRS Medical's expanded SwiftMR clearance and Microsure's MUSA-3 CE Mark as a sign that hospital workflow AI is moving from research to bedside. ASUS already supplies imaging workstations and edge servers to major hospital chains in Taiwan and the EU; DuoScan and VivoWatch 6 Plus give it consumer-facing hooks into the same data pipeline.
