AGIBOT drops 300 humanoids into Chimelong Spaceship Park, hits 20,000-robot mark

AGIBOT has integrated more than 300 embodied AI robots across Chimelong Spaceship Park in Zhuhai — the largest single-site rollout of humanoids to date — while quietly hitting its 20,000th production unit, with China Mobile supplying the 5G-Advanced backbone.

AGIBOT drops 300 humanoids into Chimelong Spaceship Park, hits 20,000-robot mark

Chinese humanoid leader AGIBOT has deployed more than 300 embodied AI robots across Chimelong Spaceship Park in Zhuhai, an integration announced on 24 September 2026 that doubles as the ceremony marking AGIBOT's 20,000th production robot rolling off the line.

Not another stage demo

The Chimelong rollout is the largest single-site AGIBOT deployment to date and covers seven live use cases across the park: live entertainment, educational experiences, visitor guidance, retail services, AI companionship, hotel services and interactive sports. According to a joint announcement carried by Robotics Tomorrow, the robots are not confined to scripted performances — they are handling gymnastics, tai chi and table tennis alongside multi-turn conversations with guests, coordinated shows with human performers and back-of-house operational tasks in the park's hotel.

The 20,000-unit marker

The deployment also marks a fresh production milestone: AGIBOT says the 300-plus robots dispatched to Chimelong include its 20,000th production unit, roughly three months after it passed the 15,000-robot line in June 2026 and just weeks after CICC, CITIC and Morgan Stanley kicked off a Hong Kong IPO process at a $40–50 billion valuation. It also tracks reports earlier this month that AGIBOT has taken the top spot in global humanoid-robot shipments for the first half of 2026.

China Mobile plumbs the 5G-A backbone

Standing behind the rollout is state-owned carrier China Mobile, which is providing the park-wide 5G-Advanced network and edge compute the fleet needs to coordinate at scale. AGIBOT and Chimelong also disclosed a joint research institute focused on embodied AI applications in culture and tourism — signaling that this is meant to be a template for further Chinese leisure-industry rollouts rather than a one-off spectacle.

Why this reads as a category shift

Chinese humanoid vendors including AGIBOT, Unitree and UBTECH have spent 2026 chasing factory-floor customers such as BYD, Foxconn and CATL. The Chimelong deployment shifts the field into a very different setting — mass-consumer, guest-facing operations at scale — and gives AGIBOT a live, revenue-generating showcase heading into its Hong Kong listing. It also complements AGIBOT's ongoing hardware push, from the A3 with OmniHand at IFA Berlin 2026 to its A3 Ultra and X2 Edu launch at WAIC Shanghai.
