AI connectivity chipmaker Astera Labs (NASDAQ: ALAB) posted record second-quarter 2026 revenue of $392.4 million, up 27% sequentially and 104% year-over-year, as its Scorpio fabric switches begin volume shipments and PCIe 6.0 hardware becomes the majority of sales.
Scorpio Ramp Pulled Forward
Reported on August 4, Astera Labs' Q2 results showed PCIe 6.0 products accounting for more than half of revenue, up from roughly a third in Q1. The high-radix Scorpio X-Series began shipping in initial production volumes across multiple lane configurations, and management now expects the Scorpio family to overtake other product lines to become Astera's largest revenue contributor in Q3, one quarter ahead of prior guidance.
Q3 Guide Points To Another 40% Jump
Astera Labs guided third-quarter revenue to $540 million to $560 million, implying about 40% sequential growth at the midpoint. Analysts said the Scorpio ramp positions Astera Labs to capture the coming wave of PCIe 6 AI clusters and NVLink Fusion, CXL and UALink deployments across hyperscalers. The company said its COSMOS software suite plus Intelligent Connectivity Platform continue to differentiate against rival scale-up interconnect silicon.
Riding The AI Infrastructure Wave
The blowout quarter comes as memory and interconnect vendors race to answer AI's bandwidth crunch. It landed the same week AMD's Q2 revenue jumped 50% and Samsung previewed its zHBM concept at FMS 2026. It also follows Eliyan's $145M Series C for optical AI interconnects, underscoring how far AI-scale connectivity has moved into the semiconductor spotlight.
