CloudNC is turning AI CAM programming into an industrial standard. The London-based manufacturing software company said this week that it has closed a $20 million Series B extension co-led by Nimble Ventures with participation from Calculus Venture Capital, Entrepreneur First and LM Capital — Lockheed Martin's venture arm. The round takes CloudNC's lifetime funding to $128 million.
CAM Assist crosses a 1,000-shop threshold
CloudNC's CAM Assist plugs into Autodesk Fusion, Mastercam, Siemens NX, GibbsCAM and SolidCAM to draft the first-pass CNC program — tool selection, approach direction, feeds and speeds — then hands the file to a human programmer to review and refine. CEO Theo Saville said the software now completes about 80% of a program in minutes at more than 1,000 machine shops, with the U.S. accounting for four of every five customers. Customers include Lockheed Martin, Bedford CNC and Maki Precision.

Quote Agent readies October launch
The next product, Quote Agent, is aimed at the estimating desk: it evaluates a new job, prices it, and gives shop owners a fast “take it or leave it” call. Saville pitched the tool as a response to U.S. reshoring, a shortage of skilled machinists, and pressure to squeeze more throughput out of existing capacity. It launches in October.
Physical-AI money keeps flowing into manufacturing
The raise lands as the wider physical-AI thesis is drawing serial rounds. Palladyne and FANUC's factory-floor push, Algomatic Dynamics' Japanese hand-platform seed and Gimlet Labs' $300M Series B all underscore how AI investors are underwriting bottleneck-solving software for hardware operations rather than pure model plays.
