New York and Tel Aviv-based enterprise AI startup Encore AI — the rebranded Insait IO — has closed a $30 million Series A round to expand deployment of AI voice and chat agents that learn directly from an organisation's top human performers. The round was led by Team8, with participation from Planven, The Garage, Lukatz and multiple financial institutions that first used the platform as customers before writing cheques.
Interaction Mining, not just conversation analytics
Founded in 2022 by CEO Dvir Ginzburg, the company originally built recommendation software for financial advisers before evolving its stack into what it now calls Interaction Mining. The patented technology ingests call recordings, emails, chat logs and CRM data, breaks each customer journey into stages, and identifies which employee behaviours — including specific jokes and anecdotes — moved the deal forward.
Those playbooks then power Encore's AI agents, which can operate autonomously across sales, servicing and collections or run alongside live human teams as real-time copilots. "Sometimes our agents even tell the jokes that the relationship managers are telling, or give the anecdotes or examples that the relationship managers are giving, because we literally run by the playbooks that we see working," Ginzburg told TechCrunch.
40+ enterprise customers, mostly banks and insurers
Encore says it now has more than 40 enterprise customers globally — the majority large financial institutions — and that its annual recurring revenue has grown more than 5x since its seed round less than 18 months ago. Ginzburg declined to share exact revenue or valuation figures. The company also stresses that its agents are engineered for the compliance requirements of regulated industries, from insurance to consumer lending.
Competing against Salesforce, SAP, Zoho and HubSpot
Ginzburg concedes that the incumbent CRM vendors — Salesforce, SAP, Zoho and HubSpot among them — sit on similar customer data. But he argues the moat is architectural: "For them to start asking for conversational data with their current employees will require changing their entire implementation stack and technological stack."
The Series A follows a wave of enterprise AI agent funding, including AegisAI's $36M raise for security agents and Enigma's $71M for embodied agents. Encore plans to use the new capital to expand U.S. sales operations and deploy the platform with more large financial institutions.
