Hello Robot chief executive Aaron Edsinger will bring Stretch 4, the company's fourth-generation mobile manipulator, on stage at TechCrunch Disrupt 2026 (13-15 October, San Francisco), organizers confirmed on 22 September 2026.

Stretch 4 pairs a compact wheeled base with a single telescoping arm designed for real households and research labs. The system's contact-sensitive joints, low weight and open-source software stack aim at practical assistance tasks - feeding, closing blinds, moving items - and the platform is already used by people with severe mobility impairments for daily activities like managing eyeglasses and personal hygiene. Hello Robot launched Stretch 4 in May 2026 after six years of iteration; the first production run sold out by June.
From Meka and Redwood to Hello Robot
Edsinger co-founded Meka Robotics and Redwood Robotics before both were acquired by Google in 2013, then led robotics inside Google before starting Hello Robot with Charlie Kemp.
