Hush Security has closed a $30 million Series A financing to expand its machine access platform for AI agents and other non-human identities, the Tel Aviv startup announced on July 28, 2026. Battery Ventures led the round with participation from Akamai Technologies — joining as a strategic investor — and existing backer YL Ventures, bringing Hush's total funding to $41 million.
Closing The AI Agent Governance Gap
Founded in 2024 by CEO Micha Rave, Hush issues scoped, just-in-time permissions to AI agents rather than relying on standing credentials. The platform packages a central registry of non-human identities, real-time audit trails, and a kill-switch that lets security teams neutralise a rogue agent in seconds. That control plane has become critical as enterprises pipe agentic systems into production alongside human workflows — a market pressure also driving deals like Onyx Security's $113M Series B.

Why Akamai Is Writing A Cheque
Akamai's strategic participation reflects the same trend that has bolstered cyber budgets across the industry — every AI agent added to a Fortune 500 stack is another privileged identity that has to be tracked, rotated and, sometimes, killed. The round also lands the same week as ThreatLocker's $190M Series F for zero-trust controls over agentic code.
What The Money Buys
Hush plans to use the new capital to expand engineering and go-to-market functions and to accelerate integrations with cloud, SaaS and identity providers. With the funding round announced by Hush Security just days after Encore AI's $30M Series A, the summer's fundraising cadence around agentic infrastructure shows no sign of cooling.
