Beijing scientific-instruments maker Jinjing Technology, marketed internationally as Goldenscope, has closed an RMB 300 million (~$42M) Series B to scale mass production of its Pharos 310 electron-beam lithography (EBL) system and next-generation electron microscopes for China's domestic semiconductor R&D and photonics labs. The round was co-led by Kangyu Capital and Fujiang Capital, with participation from Transfar Group, CITIC Goldstone and angel investor Xiang Guanglong.
Second raise this year as domestic EBL push intensifies
The Series B is Goldenscope's second financing of 2026, following a Pre-B round earlier this year, and lands as several Chinese chip pilot lines look to substitute imported Raith and JEOL EBL tools with domestically designed alternatives. Founded in 2018 and based in Beijing's Fengtai District, Jinjing now books orders from Chinese universities, foundry R&D centres and MEMS pilot lines. Proceeds will fund mass-production lines, expanded sales-and-service infrastructure, more hiring and next-generation product development, according to Tech Startups.

Pharos 310 targets photonic ICs, MEMS and PIC prototyping
Jinjing's flagship Pharos 310 electron-beam lithography system writes sub-10 nm features on 6-inch wafers and is positioned for photonic integrated circuits, MEMS and advanced semiconductor R&D. Alongside EBL, the company sells scanning electron microscopes, cathodoluminescence platforms and cryogenic sample stages — capabilities that map directly to Chinese demand for indigenous alternatives as US and Dutch export controls tighten.
Semiconductor and AI-hardware funding stays hot in China
Goldenscope joins a widening list of Chinese hard-tech upstarts pulling in state-linked capital this month, alongside ByteDance spin-off Anew Labs' $290M round, Apex Intelligence's $50M angel and Fuller Technology's RMB 350M Series B.
