Jaipur Robotics Raises EUR 4.3M Seed To Scale Waste-Plant AI OS Across Europe

Swiss deeptech startup Jaipur Robotics has closed a EUR 4.3 million (about $4.6M) seed round co-led by EquityPitcher Ventures and High-Tech Gruenderfonds (HTGF), aimed at pushing its computer-vision operating system into more waste-to-energy plants across Europe and beyond. The Manno, Ticino-based company was founded in 2024 by Ermes Zamboni and Nikhil Prakash and now runs a 40-person team split across R&D centres in Switzerland and Asia.

What The System Does

Jaipur's platform sits on top of a plant's cameras and crane controls and turns waste feed into actionable operating data. According to the company, it maps calorific value in real time, detects hazardous materials at 99% accuracy, and provides predictive guidance to crane operators. Case-level metrics released alongside the round claim more than 80% fewer unplanned shutdowns per plant per year, above EUR 1 million in added value from better waste mixing and combustion compliance, and higher productivity on automated crane operations.

The Numbers Behind The Dataset

The system runs on what Jaipur says is the largest European waste-to-energy dataset, more than 50 million labeled images. It analyses over 5 million tonnes of waste annually across a growing European customer base. There are roughly 3,100 waste-to-energy plants globally in a market Jaipur estimates at EUR 40 billion, most of which still rely on manual monitoring — the whitespace the seed capital is aimed at.

Investor Line-Up And Why It Matters

"What convinced us to co-lead this round is the combination of a dataset, a founding team with rare depth across mechanical engineering, deep learning, and industrial deployment, and outstanding, measurable results at customer sites," said Anna Stetter, investment manager at HTGF. Silvan Gehmann, investment manager at EquityPitcher Ventures, framed the play as a category-definition bet, calling out Jaipur's plans for "more and more autonomous plants." Ticino's cantonal government publicly congratulated the company, folding it into the region's push around AI infrastructure and industrial automation. The round also lands as European industrial-AI startups scale up: THEKER's EUR 73M Series A and Generalist AI's $200M raise anchor a market where computer-vision-first automation is winning both venture and industrial buyer attention.

Product Roadmap

Jaipur says the fresh capital will fund verticalisation of the platform into cement and biomass plants alongside its core WtE customers, plus geographic expansion. It is actively hiring across AI, engineering and commercial roles as it moves from proven pilot sites to a broader European rollout.
