Solo venture capitalist Ozi Amanat announced $200 million in fresh capital commitments to his firm K2 Global, earmarked for early-stage bets across AI, robotics, compute infrastructure, semiconductors, national security and next-generation healthcare.
What The Fund Backs
K2 Global will keep building concentrated positions in category-defining companies spanning large language models, autonomous systems, humanoid robotics, defense technology, compute infrastructure, brain-computer interfaces, semiconductors and preventive healthcare. Existing portfolio holdings include xAI, SpaceX, Neuralink, Shield AI, Tenstorrent, Synchron, Lambda, Agility Robotics and Function Health.
Amanat's Pitch
"Artificial intelligence is reshaping every industry, from national security and robotics to healthcare and industrial systems," Amanat said. "We believe many of the defining companies of the next decade will emerge at the intersection of intelligence, compute and the physical world." The firm's LP base spans entrepreneurs, family offices, foundations, sovereign wealth funds and strategic operators across the U.S., Asia, Europe, Latin America and the Middle East.
Context
The raise lands during a record year for AI-adjacent venture: robotics startups alone have taken in more than $18 billion in 2026, and this week saw Olix's $312M photonic-chip round and TetraGen Robotics' CAN$1.8M seed. Founded in 2015, K2 Global has built its reputation via early positions in Uber and Spotify, and now bills itself as an American technological-leadership fund with a global LP mix.
Why It Matters
Solo GPs at K2's check size are unusual, and the fund's overlap with U.S. defense-tech incumbents like Shield AI and Anduril's peers positions it in the middle of the "red, white and blue" venture theme that has drawn Pentagon-linked LPs off the sidelines in 2026.
