Chinese embodied intelligence startup MagicLab used the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference to move from single hero robots to a full product line, launching three new machines and a new general embodied model in a single WAIC keynote in Shanghai on July 20.
Three Robots For Three Segments
The flagship is MagicBot X1, a 180 cm full-size humanoid with 31 active degrees of freedom and 450 N·m peak joint torque that pulled off high-dynamic slam dunks and table tennis rallies on stage, giving MagicLab a whole-body coordination demonstrator to sit alongside China's other bipedal contenders. The wheeled MagicBot D1 targets high-frequency factory workflows, combining visual recognition with force-controlled arms for grasping, cross-zone transport and production-line loading — MagicLab says the unit is already in routine operation at a Dreame smart-manufacturing facility. The light-industry MagicDog T1 quadruped rounds out the family with a lightweight modular design that can carry robotic arms and sensors for campus patrol and equipment monitoring.
Magic-VLA K02 Ships The Brain
MagicLab also released Magic-VLA K02, a general embodied large model built on a dual-system architecture that pairs high-level task understanding with low-level action execution. Live demos ran long-horizon tasks: stacking and sealing boxes, folding flexible clothing and packing luggage, with the integrated box-stack-and-seal operation topping a 90% success rate — the milestone MagicLab is using to argue it has moved beyond single-step lab demos into autonomous workflows.
Nine Real Deployments Already In The Field
MagicLab said its robots are already active in nine scenarios spanning industrial manufacturing, public safety, smart guidance and event entertainment. Its "Xiaomai" traffic humanoid handled crowd control at the Wuxi Marathon in April, and the series has been deployed at the CCTV Spring Festival Gala, a Scottish Premiership match and "China Night" at the Cannes Film Festival. The company said it will keep iterating hardware and software together, pushing embodied intelligence from validation into productive daily use.
The MagicLab announcement joins a busy WAIC 2026 humanoid roster covered by The Robotics Media, including AgiBot's four-robot debut, Keenon's XMAN-R1 hotel deployment, ACE Robotics' Kairos 3.1 world model, and the launch of the WAICO governance bloc.
