Dreame-affiliated smart-home brand MOVA used IFA 2026 in Berlin on 4 September to reframe itself as a full-stack home-robotics company, unveiling 22 new products, 15 technologies and a new umbrella strategy called The M∞VA Universe — an AI-driven ecosystem spanning cleaning, outdoor and embodied-AI devices.

Touch-sensing robot vacuums

MOVA's most consumer-facing debut is TactiPercept, a sensing platform that gives robot vacuums a genuine sense of touch. It combines visual recognition with 128 pressure sensors and a flexible cushioning structure, so a compatible robot can slow when it grazes furniture, hug walls for edge cleaning and recover from wedging itself under a chair. On the pool side, MOVA's upgraded AquaSonar system uses ultrasonic communication built into the dock to hold a link with a cleaner while it is underwater, dropping the extra floating relay device typical of the category.

Outdoor robots grow arms

MOVA is positioning outdoor equipment as a second growth engine. Its new LiDAX Ultra Gen 2 mower adds a dedicated side-mounted cutting disc under the label UltraTrim 3.0, chasing 0cm edge gaps along walls and fences. A sequel UltraTrim 4.0 uses an adaptive robotic edging arm that follows terrain and retracts on impact, unlocking more complex gardens.

The biggest outdoor swing is AstraX, MOVA's first robotic mower with a multi-function robotic arm. AI vision spots obstacles blocking the mower's path and the arm can move them out of the way, pick fruit from low branches with a two-finger gripper, or water designated zones on a schedule. MOVA is demoing what it calls the world's first robotic mower arm show, with several AstraX units performing synchronised movements on the floor.

Knot 80 lays down an embodied-AI marker

Look past the vacuums and mowers and the most strategically interesting exhibit is Knot 80, a humanoid-inspired robotic hand and arm designed to show how future household robots could physically manipulate objects. The hand carries 11 independently movable joints; the full arm brings the total to 15. Onboard 3D spatial sensing and grasp control identify object position and orientation, adjusting grip force from 25 to 50 newtons with visual feedback during the movement. MOVA frames it as a research demonstrator today with a path to cleaning, tidying and storage tasks tomorrow.

A broader IFA context

The launch stretches MOVA well beyond floorcare, echoing the ambitions on display from LG's ThinQ CLAW and CLOiD, Xiaomi's CyberOne humanoid and OlloBot's OlloNi SS1. MOVA cites Frost & Sullivan data from December 2025 identifying it as the world's largest LiDAR robotic lawn mower brand by sales volume. It has not confirmed Australian availability for AstraX, TactiPercept, UltraTrim 4.0 or Knot 80 — they should be read as a global roadmap for now.
