NVIDIA and LG Group are building a joint AI factory in Korea to accelerate the conglomerate’s push into robotics, autonomous mobility, GPU cloud services and data center infrastructure, the two companies said in Seoul. The pact came alongside NVIDIA’s gigawatt-scale AI cloud deal with SK Telecom and a broader Korean AI factory push.
CLOiD Becomes A Showcase For Isaac GR00T
LG Electronics will use NVIDIA’s Isaac GR00T humanoid foundation model and build a physical AI data factory to generate training data for its robots. The most visible application is CLOiD, the dual-arm home humanoid LG unveiled at CES 2026 as part of its “Zero Labor Home” vision.

From Factories To Vehicles
LG plans to convert 29 manufacturing sites across 14 countries into AI-driven factories by 2030, using NVIDIA Omniverse digital twins and Isaac Sim for virtual commissioning. The companies will also extend the partnership into autonomous mobility and an LG-operated GPU cloud aimed at Korean enterprises.
One Of Several Korean Pacts
The deal is part of a wider sweep of Korean AI factory announcements that includes SK Telecom, SK Hynix on next-generation memory and a broadened Doosan Group pact across physical AI. Jensen Huang has framed the buildout as a model for sovereign AI capability on top of NVIDIA’s stack.
What To Watch
LG Electronics needs to convert demo footage into shipped consumer robots, while LG Energy Solution and LG Display will look for ways to plug into the same physical AI data factory. The cadence of CLOiD deliveries and the first Omniverse-powered LG factories will be the most concrete tests of the partnership through 2027.
