Nasdaq-listed Pasqal (PSQL) said Thursday it has signed a three-year Memorandum of Understanding with LG CNS to embed its neutral-atom quantum computers inside LG's AI Haus platforms and AI Data Center infrastructure. The agreement, announced on the sidelines of the France-Korea State Visit at the Élysée Palace, deepens Pasqal's strategic push into South Korea and its industrial pivot from stand-alone QPUs to hybrid quantum-plus-AI compute.
Three collaboration tracks
Pasqal and LG CNS said they will work on three fronts: integrating Pasqal's neutral-atom quantum hardware with LG's AI platforms and data-centre infrastructure; operating and managing quantum compute inside those AI data centres; and pursuing joint commercial opportunities in Korea and globally. The partnership sits in LG CNS's AX (AI Transformation) portfolio, which spans agentic AI, smart-factory and smart-logistics systems for enterprise customers.
Anchoring APAC in Seoul
Pasqal CEO Wasiq Bokhari called the deal "a major milestone both in our long-term commitment to South Korea and in our vision for hybrid computing." Korea is Pasqal's designated Asia-Pacific hub; the company already has an industrial partnership with LG Electronics stretching back four years, and counts LG Electronics and Dunamu & Partners among its Korean institutional backers. The company recently closed its Bleichroeder SPAC and debuted on Nasdaq as PSQL.
Why quantum in AI data centers
Bokhari's pitch is that AI compute demand has grown fast enough that adding heterogeneous accelerators — GPUs, neutral-atom QPUs, custom silicon — is becoming a design requirement for next-generation data centers, not a science project. Pasqal already sells production-ready systems on-premises and via cloud, and is working with NVIDIA and IBM on hybrid workflows. The LG CNS deal follows a busy summer for the French start-up: a Saudi protein-modelling collaboration with True Nexus, a €50M EU Chips JU award to industrialise neutral-atom chips, and a KACST research pact in Riyadh.
Deepening France-Korea tech ties
The MoU is one of several announcements timed to the France-Korea Summit. It underscores how quantum diplomacy is following AI infrastructure diplomacy: sovereign compute programs increasingly want quantum stacks embedded rather than parked in academic labs. For LG CNS, the deal fits an aggressive push to sell AI-native data centre capacity to Korean chaebol customers and export it into the U.S. and Europe.
