Pure Lithium New Energy, a Beijing-based solid-state battery startup backed by Yizhuang State Investment, has closed a Pre-A+ financing round worth tens of millions of yuan as its first commercial line reaches full output. The 500 MWh all-solid-state production line in Lankao, Henan province is now running at capacity, the company said this month.

Cell Specs and Cycle Life

Pure Lithium's first-generation cells pair lithium-iron-phosphate cathodes with graphite anodes, delivering 180-190 Wh/kg of energy density. Its 50 Ah cells achieve 6,000 to 8,000 cycles in internal testing — a durability range that opens commercial-vehicle, grid-storage and industrial robotics applications.

Scaling Plan

The company is preparing a GWh-class facility expected to start production in 2026, with first-year capacity above 1 GWh and a revenue target north of 100 million yuan. The Pre-A+ proceeds will fund equipment, pre-production validation and customer qualification programs.

China's Solid-State Sprint

The round joins a wave of Chinese solid-state announcements as automakers race toward 2027 mass production. GAC-backed Greater Bay Technology is targeting GWh-scale solid-state output in 2026, while Ganfeng has demonstrated 500 Wh/kg cells. ION, a U.S. startup, is installing a sintering furnace for parallel production beginning later this year.

What's at Stake

Commercial all-solid-state cells would unlock energy density, fast-charging and safety improvements over today's lithium-ion packs, with downstream implications for electric vehicles, humanoid robots and grid-storage developers like those covered in Moment Energy's $40M Series B.
