Quantum X Labs (Nasdaq: QXL) launched QuantumQ Security on September 17, 2026 — a quantum-native cybersecurity architecture that embeds quantum mechanics directly into the defensive stack rather than merely bolting post-quantum algorithms onto classical infrastructure.

Detect, Encrypt, Verify

QuantumQ Security is structured around three primitives. Detect uses quantum properties to identify anomalous activity and probe attempts against protected systems. Encrypt hardens confidentiality of data in transit and at rest against both classical and future quantum adversaries. Verify establishes authenticity, integrity and ownership using quantum signatures. The three sit on top of three underlying technology programs — LayerQake, Qatacomb and a set of verification techs — at different maturity levels, with further validation and testing required before commercial release.

Cohen leads the advisory board

The Tel Aviv-based company appointed former Mossad chief Yossi Cohen as President of its Scientific Advisory Board, tasked with expanding QuantumQ Security into defense, aerospace, homeland security and critical-infrastructure segments. "Our objective is not simply to adapt yesterday's security architecture to tomorrow's computers," CTO Prof. Nir Sharon said, framing the announcement as a break from the post-quantum cryptography playbook that has dominated the industry to date.

Why quantum-native, not just post-quantum

Most enterprise plans for the quantum era center on patching classical software with post-quantum-safe algorithms recommended by NIST. Quantum X Labs' bet is that treating the hardware itself as a security substrate — the way the company's earlier AI decoder did for error correction — will produce categorically stronger protections in the long run, though at the cost of more elaborate deployment.

Where it lands

The launch comes as the U.S. Department of Energy's Quantum Genesis program and NATO defense agencies push for near-term quantum capability, and as Israel's tech industry — well represented in cyber — reorients around AI and quantum simultaneously. QuantumQ Security will now compete against hybrid quantum and post-quantum offerings from Israeli, European and U.S. vendors.
