Reudyn, a Shenzhen-based wearable-robotics startup, has launched a dedicated consumer brand and unveiled its first product — the Hip X26, a hip-worn powered exoskeleton pitched at everyday walkers rather than factory workers or rehabilitation patients. Commercial sales begin in September 2026.
An Exoskeleton For Regular Legs, Not Just Injured Ones
The Hip X26 wraps the hips and provides real-time walking assistance using gait sensing and movement-intent recognition. The system detects how the wearer is moving and adjusts the amount of support on the fly, with the goal of reducing effort during long walks while preserving a natural gait. Pricing, detailed specs and sales channels have not yet been disclosed.
Human-Centred Mobility
“The value of technology is not to replace human ability, but to amplify human potential,” CEO Mels Cui said in Reudyn's announcement. “Assistance should simply appear when it is needed.” Reudyn said its R&D covers movement-intent recognition, gait sensing, adaptive assistance control, human-machine coordination, intelligent power systems and lightweight wearable design — the trade-offs that separate an all-day consumer device from a heavier industrial or clinical one.
A Consumer Front In China's Wearables Race
Reudyn's brand launch adds another Chinese entrant to a fast-broadening market for consumer wearable robotics, which sits alongside the country's aggressive push in humanoids.
