Scan.com Raises $90M Series C, $130M Debt to Scale US Medical Imaging

Atlanta-based medical imaging network Scan.com closed a $90M Series C led by Noteus Partners plus $130M in debt from VerisFi and Atempo, pushing total raise to $220M as it builds a national imaging API on a $165M revenue run rate.

Scan.com Raises $90M Series C, $130M Debt to Scale US Medical Imaging

Atlanta-based medical imaging network Scan.com has closed a $220 million financing package to build what it calls the largest diagnostic imaging network in the United States, combining a $90 million Series C equity round with $130 million in debt facilities to accelerate M&A and expand into a still-fragmented $100 billion market.

A national API for a market still run on fax

The equity round was led by Noteus Partners, with participation from Aviva, Concord Health Partners, YZR Capital, Oxford Capital and other investors. VerisFi Capital and Atempo Growth provided the $130 million debt facilities. Scan.com said its revenue doubled over the past year, pushing its annualized run rate above $165 million, and that more than 900,000 patients have used its network globally.

Scan.com CEO Charlie Bullock argued that the United States runs about 600 million medical imaging scans a year with no equivalent to the national infrastructure that Quest Diagnostics and Labcorp built for lab work. The company's platform integrates search, scheduling and results delivery for imaging into a single API that plugs into payer, employer, digital health and workers' compensation systems in a few lines of code, with agentic AI routing patients to a quality-checked center in days rather than weeks.

Where the capital is going

Scan.com plans to use the funding to expand its US network of imaging providers, deepen its API integrations with independent centers' scheduling systems and electronic medical records, and invest further in the AI layer that matches referrals to live availability, price and subspecialty. Reports are typically returned within 48 hours through a workflow that pairs automated routing with human care guides.

Doubling down on outpatient imaging

Already the largest medical imaging network in the United Kingdom, Scan.com entered the US in 2023 and now operates nationwide. The Series C positions the company to consolidate a fragmented outpatient imaging market where the same MRI can cost a few hundred dollars at one center and several thousand dollars at another, and where 85% of scans are still booked by fax or phone.

The round lands alongside a wave of diagnostic AI financings, including Elucid's $55 million Series D for cardiovascular imaging and HeartVue's FDA 510(k) clearance for cardiac MRI, as investors and health systems bet on imaging as the next front for clinical AI adoption.
