$110M led by Headline
Stuttgart-based Sereact, one of Europe's most-watched physical-AI startups, has closed a €93 million ($110 million) Series B led by Headline. New investors Bullhound Capital, Daphni and Felix Capital joined the round, alongside existing backers Air Street Capital, Creandum and Point Nine. The capital is earmarked for scaling Sereact's Cortex 2.0 robot brain and opening the company's first U.S. office in Boston.
What Cortex 2.0 does
Cortex is a vision-language-action model designed to make any robot adaptive: it lets a warehouse picker, a packing arm or a manipulation robot reason about novel objects and plan actions in plain language. Sereact says more than 200 of its systems are already in production across Europe, having executed over one billion real picks for customers including BMW, Daimler Truck and PepsiCo — putting Sereact among the most deployed AI picking-robot companies anywhere.
Why the U.S. now
The U.S. expansion lands as American logistics and automotive operators race to deploy more flexible automation. Sereact's pitch to U.S. customers is that Cortex 2.0 plugs into existing robot hardware — from collaborative arms to mobile manipulators — without locking them into a single OEM, a sales angle aimed squarely at brownfield warehouse fleets. The round comes against a wider physical-AI funding boom this week — see our coverage of Pudu's $150M raise and Physical Intelligence's $1B at $11B valuation.
Inside the deal
Headline, the global venture firm formerly known as e.ventures, is taking the lead position. Sereact CEO Ralf Gulde told reporters the company chose Headline for its U.S. platform reach. Bullhound, Daphni and Felix Capital join the cap table for the first time. Sereact did not disclose its post-money valuation.
What's next
Sereact plans to grow its Boston team across go-to-market and field engineering through 2026, and says it will publish a new Cortex 2.0 benchmark paper later this year focused on long-horizon manipulation. The Series B brings Sereact's lifetime funding past €140 million.
