SkyIntelligence formalised a strategic partnership with ABB Robotics and joined a physical AI white paper for high-precision manufacturing led by NVIDIA at the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference in Shanghai, the Shanghai-headquartered company said Thursday.
A Three-Way Physical AI Standard For Factories
The white paper, coordinated by NVIDIA and ABB Robotics with input from Deloitte, AsiaInfo and SkyIntelligence among others, aims to define reference architectures for AI-native industrial automation — including simulation, real-time control and continuous learning from factory data — for high-mix, high-precision manufacturing lines. It is intended to align physical AI vendors, foundation model providers and system integrators around a common integration surface.
ABB And NVIDIA's Widening Robotics Play
The partnership with ABB Robotics adds SkyIntelligence to a small group of Chinese physical AI companies developing on ABB robot platforms. It also extends NVIDIA's Isaac and GR00T ecosystem into more Chinese industrial deployments, alongside the company's Blackwell rollout for RIKEN in Japan and its new Wistron server factory in Fort Worth.
WAIC 2026 As A Physical AI Showcase
WAIC has emerged as the marquee Chinese venue for physical AI announcements, with rivals such as Alibaba Cloud unveiling its agent-native cloud and Qwen 3.8-Max at the same event. SkyIntelligence said the partnership will accelerate the deployment of NVIDIA-accelerated ABB robotic cells for high-precision manufacturing customers in electronics, EV components and precision assembly.
