Stellantis and Qualcomm Technologies have announced an expansion of their multi-year technology collaboration, agreeing to power next-generation Stellantis vehicles with Qualcomm's Snapdragon Digital Chassis system-on-chips. The deepened partnership integrates Snapdragon solutions with STLA Brain, Stellantis' electronic and software platform, to enhance cockpit, connectivity and advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) performance.
A scalable platform across brands
The expanded collaboration is designed to scale across Stellantis' many brands and vehicle segments, supporting the automaker's strategy to improve cost efficiency through platform standardization. Stellantis says the foundation will accelerate time to market and enable continuous, over-the-air feature upgrades across its global portfolio.
The agreement also covers the Snapdragon Ride Pilot ADAS platform, an adaptable system that can scale from active safety and regulatory features up to Level 2+ hands-free autonomy and beyond. Stellantis intends to roll those ADAS capabilities across millions of vehicles.
aiMotive set to join Qualcomm
As part of the deal, Stellantis and Qualcomm Technologies have signed a non-binding letter of intent for aiMotive, the Stellantis-owned automated driving and simulation company, to join Qualcomm Technologies, subject to various conditions. The move would strengthen Qualcomm's automated-driving software stack as it expands its automotive business.

"By deploying this intelligent platform across our global portfolio, Stellantis is delivering on that promise with unprecedented speed and efficiency."
Semiconductors at the center of the car
Nakul Duggal, EVP and group general manager for automotive, industrial and embedded IoT at Qualcomm Technologies, said the expansion "reflects the scale and depth of what Qualcomm and Stellantis have built together," spanning connectivity, digital cockpit and now ADAS and automated driving. He called extending the platform across the full Stellantis lineup "a meaningful inflection point" for both companies.
The partnership underscores how scalable semiconductor platforms are becoming central to vehicle design as cars grow more centralized and software-defined. It is the latest in a wave of high-profile tie-ups reshaping mobility and automation, alongside deals such as the expanded Flex and Teradyne Robotics partnership in intelligent automation. Safety and reliability remain key questions for autonomous features, an issue highlighted by new safety frameworks for connected robot and vehicle networks and by recent disruptions to robotaxi operations.
