Trew Partners With Brightpick To Fold Gridpicker, Autopicker Into US Fulfillment Stack

Warehouse automation integrator Trew has partnered with Brightpick to add the Atlanta company's Gridpicker automated storage-and-retrieval grid and Autopicker mobile manipulator to Trew's fulfillment portfolio, giving joint customers a single-vendor path from conveyor line to AI-picked tote.

What The Deal Wires Together

Under the agreement, Trew integrates Brightpick's Gridpicker and Autopicker platforms with its SmartMoves WX warehouse execution system and CHAMP warehouse control system, plus its sortation, conveyor and project-services stack. The pitch to distribution operators: buy the pick-face automation and the surrounding orchestration from one contract.

Filling A Physical-AI Gap

Trew's traditional strength is conveyor-driven, fixed-throughput automation. Brightpick brings AI-driven mobile manipulation that has become table stakes as retailers push into denser SKU catalogs and grocery-adjacent categories. The partnership follows a wider industry pattern of pairing legacy integrators with newer robotics companies, from Ambi Robotics teaming with Pickle Robot for truck unloading to FedEx wiring Dexterity's Foresight-powered Mech into its hubs.

Selling A Full Stack

Trew will position the combined offering under a single project-services model, with customer-experience support for the life of the system. That mirrors the AIP roll-up thesis behind Honeywell's sale of Intelligrated and Transnorm, which is being combined with Trew to build a broader warehouse-automation platform.
