Beijing-based generative 3D company Tripo AI, operated by VAST, said on September 1, 2026 that it has closed a combined Series B and Series B+ financing worth roughly 3 billion yuan, or about $446 million. The round was led by MPCi and lands alongside the preview release of Tripo P2.0, a new foundation model the company says is the first to natively output clean quad-topology 3D meshes.
MPCi Anchors A Deep, Multi-Sector Cap Table
MPCi led the raise with participation from strategic backers Perfect World, BlueFocus, SPC, Yanqu Games, ThunderSoft and 37 Interactive Entertainment, and financial investors CDH Venture and Growth Capital, CICC, CMC Capital Partners, Hongtai Aplus, 3H Health, Zhongping Capital and GreatOrigin Asia. Existing investors Fortune Capital, Primavera Capital, 4399 Network, Muhua Tech Ventures, Vitalbridge Capital, INCE Capital and T-Capital increased their stakes. Proceeds will accelerate 3D-native foundation models and data infrastructure, expand compute for AI training and inference, and fund product development and commercialization.
Tripo P2.0 Brings Quad Topology To Generative 3D
Tripo AI unveiled Tripo P2.0 at the same time. The model natively generates quad-topology meshes with natural edge flow, an industry first that makes outputs easier to rig, animate and edit. Triangle topology supports 500 to 50,000 faces while quad topology covers 500 to 25,000 faces per asset, enough for most props and hero characters used in games and interactive entertainment. Tripo's product stack, including Tripo Studio and Tripo API, targets intelligent manufacturing, virtual reality, interactive entertainment and embodied AI customers globally.

A New Peak In Generative 3D Fundraising
The Series B and B+ combined round dwarfs Tripo AI's earlier financings, following the $150M Series A3 in July and the nearly $200M raise for Project Eden earlier this year. The scale of the round underscores investor appetite for 3D foundation and world models, echoing recent deals for Noin Intelligence's GLOW and PixVerse. Tripo's outputs also feed a growing market for embodied AI training pipelines, where synthetic 3D assets are used to pre-train and evaluate robot policies.
