Accenture has invested, through Accenture Ventures, in AI-native company General Robotics, pairing the deal with a partnership to help manufacturers and logistics operators advance autonomous operations with physical AI.
An orchestration layer for factory robots
General Robotics builds GRID, a unified intelligence platform that connects robots across original equipment manufacturers to deployable, scalable and adaptable AI skills. Rather than relying on static programming, GRID centers on modular reusable skills, cloud-based orchestration and simulation training, letting teams move from prototype to deployment in as little as 15 minutes across humanoids, arms, quadrupeds, wheeled and aerial robots.
Physical AI meets enterprise scale
Accenture said the partnership targets persistent client pain points such as workforce constraints and low factory and warehouse productivity, delivering an enterprise-grade robotics intelligence and orchestration layer that can be repeated safely across a network of facilities. The investment reinforces Accenture's role as an enterprise orchestrator in NVIDIA's physical AI ecosystem, with NVIDIA Isaac Sim integrated into GRID.
Part of a wider physical AI push
The move adds to a busy stretch of robotics dealmaking, from Generalist AI's $400M round backed by NVIDIA to Sereact's $110M Series B for warehouse physical AI. It also complements Accenture's steady stream of industrial technology deals, including its acquisition tied to Siemens industrial software. Terms of the General Robotics investment were not disclosed.
