Cyera Doubles Valuation to $12B With $300M Round Led by Evolution Equity

Cyera Ltd., the Israeli artificial intelligence and data security firm, has raised $300 million in new funding at a $12 billion post-money valuation, more than doubling its worth in five months as enterprises race to lock down the data feeding their AI systems.

A buying spree backed by another mega-round

The round was led by Evolution Equity Partners, one of the most active cybersecurity-focused investors globally, with participation from Georgian, Greenoaks, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Sequoia Capital, Sapphire Ventures, Redpoint Ventures, Cyberstarts, Coatue, Accel and Spark Capital. The deal brings Cyera's total funding to more than $1.6 billion, just five months after the firm raised $400 million at a $9 billion valuation in January.

Founded in 2021 by Yotam Segev and Tamar Bar-Ilan — both alumni of Israel's Talpiot program and Unit 8200 cyber intelligence unit — Cyera operates in the data security posture management (DSPM) category. Its platform scans cloud accounts, data stores and SaaS applications, then classifies sensitive data by exposure and risk.

Consolidating the DSPM market

CEO Yotam Segev has told Israeli outlet Calcalist he aims to make Cyera "the CrowdStrike or Palo Alto Networks of data security" through aggressive M&A. Recent acquisitions include Israeli startup Genie Security for an estimated $50 million, Ryft Data for $100–$130 million, Trail Security for $162 million in 2024, and earlier deals for Otterize and Shape AI. The Ryft purchase added an AI-ready data lake giving enterprises traceable data access for AI agents.

Israel's second-most valuable private firm

At $12 billion, Cyera is now the second-most valuable privately held Israeli company after Vast Data, which crossed $30 billion earlier this year. The capital surge mirrors a broader rush into AI-era cyber, where venture funds are pouring into agent and data security platforms, and where exits remain available — portfolio company Armis was sold to ServiceNow earlier this cycle.

Why investors keep paying up

Cyera says it has crossed $150 million in annual recurring revenue, valuing the round at roughly 80x ARR, a multiple that exceeds most fast-growing AI peers and reflects bullish bets on data-security demand. Other recent enterprise cyber raises include DriveNets' $410M Series D at $8.5B, signalling that infrastructure-adjacent security plays are still attracting outsized capital.
