DataBahn Raises $40M Series B For Agentic Data Control Plane

Dallas-based DataBahn raised $40M Series B led by Insight Partners to expand its agentic data control plane, which cuts enterprise data movement costs for AI workloads.

DataBahn Raises $40M Series B For Agentic Data Control Plane

DataBahn closed a $40 million Series B on July 30, 2026 to expand what it calls the agentic data control plane — a software layer that decides which telemetry AI models actually need, when, and where it should be routed. The Dallas-based startup's total funding now stands at $59 million.

Insight Leads, Existing Backers Double Down

Insight Partners led the round, with participation from existing investors Forgepoint, GTM Capital and S3 Ventures. Founded in 2023, DataBahn now serves customers across healthcare, financial services, manufacturing and transportation and says it recorded more than 400% year-over-year revenue growth, 180% net revenue retention, zero customer churn and a 97% proof-of-concept win rate over the past year.

"The next generation of enterprise infrastructure won't be built around moving more data — it will be built around intelligently orchestrating the right data at the right time," said co-founder and CEO Nanda Santhana.

Why Enterprises Are Paying For A Data Control Plane

Large language models, AI agents, analytics platforms and security tools all compete for the same telemetry, driving up cloud egress, storage and inference bills. DataBahn's platform ingests data from hundreds of enterprise sources, enriches and governs it, then delivers only what a specific downstream system needs — retrieving additional context on demand instead of copying entire datasets.

AIDI And A Black Hat Debut

DataBahn's newest capability, Autonomous In-Stream Data Intelligence (AIDI), analyses, validates and acts on telemetry while it's still in flight through the pipeline, applying governance and enriching context before it hits AI models or security platforms. The company plans to preview additional platform features at Black Hat USA 2026.

The raise slots into an active week for enterprise AI infrastructure funding alongside Onyx Security's $113M Series B for AI agent governance, Hush Security's $30M Series A and ThreatLocker's $190M Series F for zero-trust AI agents.
