Eclipse Automation has launched Eclipse RealitySync, an immersive simulation platform that lets manufacturers walk through their future factory before a single machine is installed, the company announced at Automate 2026 in Chicago.
Stepping into the factory before it is built
Eclipse says factory automation has grown more complex, connected, and harder to assess with traditional drawings and static layouts. RealitySync uses immersive environments powered by Apple Vision Pro technology, guided by Eclipse Automation experts, so teams can walk production lines, explore workflows in context, and collaborate in a shared, interactive space.
"Teams are still making major investment decisions using drawings and static layouts," said Steve Mai, CEO of Eclipse Automation. "We believe the future of factory automation is more immersive, collaborative, and informed."
De-risking automation earlier
Eclipse designed RealitySync around three goals: exposing value before customers buy, reducing project risk earlier in the automation lifecycle, and scaling production with more flexibility. By bringing engineering, operations, finance, and leadership into the same virtual environment, the company says organizations can align faster and catch issues before deployment.
The launch lands amid a wave of simulation and physical-AI tooling, from Intrinsic's software-first workcell to FORT and NVIDIA's safety blueprint, all aimed at making automation easier to plan and deploy.
A global automation builder
An Accenture company, Eclipse Automation is a global provider of precision factory automation with operations in the United States, Canada, Hungary, and Germany. With more than 25 years of experience, it builds engineered systems across life sciences, EVs, automotive, battery production, electronics, and aerospace and defense. The push toward digital, data-rich planning echoes broader industry moves such as Kawasaki and Dexterity's warehouse scaling.
