NeoVolta said its majority-owned subsidiary NeoVolta Power has signed a binding $53 million capacity reservation agreement with Infinite Grid Capital to supply battery energy storage systems for a Northern Ontario edge AI data center project in 2027. The announcement, made on September 17, 2026, coincides with the grand opening of NeoVolta’s new Pendergrass, Georgia manufacturing facility.
First commercial commitment under a $200M framework
The $53 million reservation is the first binding order under a previously disclosed framework between NeoVolta Power and Infinite Grid Capital that contemplates roughly 1.1 GWh and approximately $200 million of BESS supply across multiple North American markets. Capacity for the Northern Ontario project is being reserved at Pendergrass, where the initial production line is completing commissioning and Site Acceptance Testing ahead of a Q4 2026 ramp.
Batteries for AI data centers on the grid edge
Infinite Grid Capital is building behind-the-meter power infrastructure aimed specifically at AI compute, where transformer, interconnection and demand-response constraints are pushing operators toward on-site generation plus large stationary storage. NeoVolta’s LFP-based systems, produced under its SK On supply and manufacturing collaboration, are being positioned as domestically produced hardware for those campuses.
Ramp and regulatory context
NeoVolta hosted the Pendergrass grand opening on September 17 with executives, partners and local officials. The company said the Infinite Grid deal validates its integrated LFP cell-and-pack manufacturing strategy at a time when US utilities and hyperscalers are racing to add tens of gigawatts of AI-linked load to the grid.
