NEURA Robotics Lands Record $1.4B Series C Led By Tether For Physical AI Push

NEURA Robotics, the Metzingen-based humanoid and cognitive-robot maker, has announced a Series C of up to $1.4 billion led by stablecoin issuer Tether, with chipmakers NVIDIA and Qualcomm Technologies, retail and cloud giant Amazon, German industrials Robert Bosch and Schaeffler, the European Investment Bank, Lingotto Horizon, InterAlpen Partners and imec.xpand all joining the round. The company says it is the largest funding round ever closed by a full-stack robotics company, reportedly pegging NEURA at a valuation of roughly $7 billion.

What the money is for

NEURA founder and chief executive David Reger said the new capital will fund the global rollout of NEURA's cognitive robots and 4NE-1 humanoid, expansion of the company's Neuraverse software platform, and a network of NEURA Gyms - real-world training environments that combine simulation, multimodal AI and physical interaction to generate skills data for cognitive robots. The company is targeting production of millions of robots by 2030 and says its current order backlog and strategic deployment pipeline already exceed $1 billion.

Strategic chipmakers and industrials at the table

Unlike a classic VC round, NEURA's investor list reads like a who's-who of the global physical-AI supply chain. NVIDIA has been racing to make its Isaac GR00T platform the default robot brain, Qualcomm just rebooted its robotics business around Snapdragon and AI-200/AI-250 silicon, Amazon Robotics now ships more than a million units in its own warehouses, and Bosch and Schaeffler have publicly told investors that humanoid robots are core to their next decade of capex. Tether's lead role is the surprise: the stablecoin giant has used a swelling reserve to back AI, energy and now physical-AI infrastructure, signalling that crypto-native capital is becoming a meaningful pool of late-stage robotics money.

Why it matters

The round lands days after Generalist AI and Skild AI's multibillion-dollar Physical AI rounds and BYD's confirmation that it will sell humanoids through its dealer network, and slots into the same investor playbook that produced Standard Bots' $200M Series C at a $1B valuation and Generalist AI's $400M raise alongside NVIDIA. With $23 billion already raised by global robotics startups in the first half of 2026, NEURA's deal cements humanoids as the most concentrated pool of late-stage capital in deep tech and gives Europe a serious flagship in the U.S.-China-led humanoid race.
