Europe’s biggest cognitive-robotics bet just got a bigger industrial spine. NEURA Robotics and Italian embedded-computing group SECO announced a strategic partnership to co-design, engineer and manufacture the electronic compute modules that will run inside NEURA’s cognitive cobots and the flagship 4NE1 humanoid — a full-stack, Made-in-Europe answer to the U.S. and Chinese humanoid platforms scaling up in 2026.
Qualcomm Dragonwing inside a Brain + Nervous System stack
The joint compute modules will integrate Qualcomm Technologies’ Dragonwing robotics processors and slot into NEURA’s distributed "Brain + Nervous System" architecture. NEURA CEO David Reger said Physical AI "will not be built by one company alone" and framed SECO as the manufacturing and engineering partner that lets NEURA turn its Smart Limbs concept — sensing and compute pushed out to the joints — into series-produced hardware.

NEURA Gym Italy and a semiconductor-manufacturing focus
Beyond the modules, the two companies will open a NEURA Gym in Italy — the company’s first training and data-collection hub in Southern Europe — and jointly pursue Physical AI applications in semiconductor and electronics manufacturing, where SECO already runs deep customer relationships. The plan is a virtuous cycle: European fabs generate real-world data, NEURA’s Neuraverse turns that data into reusable robot skills, and those skills are then re-exported worldwide.
Building a resilient European stack
SECO CEO Max Mauri said the partnership fits Europe’s push for technological sovereignty by combining local engineering with best-in-class global compute. Qualcomm’s Nakul Duggal, head of Automotive, Industrial, Embedded IoT and Robotics, called Dragonwing "essential to enabling the next generation of cognitive robotics" and welcomed SECO into the ecosystem. NEURA raised up to $1.4 billion in a Series C earlier this year led by Tether, alongside Qualcomm, Amazon, NVIDIA, Bosch, Schaeffler and the European Investment Bank.
