ZEISS Medical Technology announced on August 19, 2026 that it has received U.S. FDA 510(k) clearance for ZEISS CLINIC 360, an all-in-one cloud and browser-based ophthalmic software platform designed to unify diagnostic imaging, medical records and analytics into a single patient view.
What CLINIC 360 Delivers
Built on the ZEISS Health Data Platform, CLINIC 360 consolidates DICOM-enabled data from ZEISS's CIRRUS OCT, CLARUS fundus imaging and HFA perimetry devices — plus third-party diagnostics and EMR data on risk factors, allergies and family history — into a unified clinical dashboard accessed via any web browser. Colour-coded glaucoma trend analysis of OCT, IOP and Visual Field data lets clinicians spot progression faster, and integrated ZEISS Collaborative Care makes referrals and second opinions a one-click share. The platform is a subscription-based alternative to ZEISS FORUM, which will remain the on-premise option for practices that prefer local infrastructure.
Timing And U.S. Availability
ZEISS said CLINIC 360 will ship in the United States in early Fall 2026 with tiered subscription configurations. "Practices are dealing with increasing volumes of information from imaging devices, medical records, and diagnostic testing," said Anuj Kalra, head of chronic disease management at ZEISS Medical Technology, adding the cloud model "presents a truly comprehensive view of a patient, supporting a wide range of practices with actionable clinical insights." Federico Villegas, president of Carl Zeiss Meditec USA, framed the clearance as a step toward "reducing complexity across the care journey."
Why It Matters
The clearance lands as ophthalmology practices consolidate around cloud data pipelines, mirroring hospital-wide shifts seen at Cleveland Clinic on quantum-assisted diagnostics and matching FDA-cleared point solutions like Vessl Prosthetics' Kinn socket. Carl Zeiss Meditec (TecDAX: AFX) reported €2,228m in fiscal 2024/25 revenue and generates more than 50% of its headcount abroad, with the U.S. as its largest market.
